Preschool Groups
The Preschool Groups consist of 3 – 4 children aged 3 to 6 years, targeting children in the year before they attend school. They are sometimes divided into a girls group and a boys groups, dependent on the children within the group.
The Preschool Groups Aim to Develop:
- Social interaction
- Turn taking
- Self-regulation
- Schedule following
- Pre-academic skills – including pencil control, cutting skills and following directions
These aims are targeted while group activities continue to work on motor skills including gross and fine motor, eye-hand coordination, crossing midline, bilateral and visual motor integration.
